New keyboards! — 12 Mar, 2018
For a long time I was using the good old Cherry G80-3000 keyboards, they are really good keyboards and still working great, but I find the old cherry MX Black switches to be kinda heavy.
I wanted some new keyboards to replace them but I didn't feel like spending a ton of money, after some searching on Gearbest I found the Ajazz AK33 Keyboard with a clone of the Cherry MX Blue switches.
The AK33 is very different from the G80-3000, the switches are lighter (and also a bit louder), doesn't have a numpad, and it has backlight!
I thought the biggest issue will be the transition from the Portuguese layout to the US layout, after some time writing I got used to it, I use the EurKEY layout, so if I want to write in Portuguese I just need a few key combinations for the accentuation.
The keycaps are fine and build quality is really impressive for a 30€ mechanical keyboard.
That's it, if you want a cheap mechanical keyboard I think this is a great choice!
